Aim and Scope

Biological Sciences is a double-blind peer-reviewed open-access online journal published quarterly by IR Research Publication. The scope of Biological Sciences is broad, which includes all fields of medical, pharmaceutical, and life sciences. We understand the value of time for researchers, thus, the submission to the first decision time is one week. This journal accepts Research Article, Full-length Review, Systematic Review, Short Communication, Mini-Review, Methods, and Opinion. Biological Sciences is indexed in Crossref, Google Scholar, and Dimensions and archived in LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and Internet Archive.

Clinical studies: The journal covers the subjects of clinical studies such as internal medicine, surgery, clinical trial, pediatrics and otorhinolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, etc. Furthermore, we accept epidemiology, public health, and indigenous disease in the form of meta-analysis and systematic review.

Pharmacology: The journal covers all the branches of pharmacology, including the pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system, central nervous system, cardiovascular system, endocrine and metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, kidney diseases, ocular diseases, skin diseases, hormonal disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, genetic diseases, rare diseases, etc. 

Toxicology: The journal covers in-vivo toxicity studies: acute and chronic toxicity studies, micronucleus test, comet assay, TUNEL, etc; invitro toxicity studies: cytotoxicity studies, TUNEL, chromosomal aberration assay, Ames test, etc.

Pharmaceutics: The journal accepts all aspects of pharmaceutics, including solid dosage formulations, liquid dosage formulations, semi-solid formulations, powders, nano-formulations, novel drug delivery systems such as liposomes, nanosomes, microspheres, nanospheres, nanoemulsion, nanosuspension, microcapsules, nanocapsules, controlled release formulation, delayed-release formulation, extended-release formulation, sustained release formulation, etc.

Chemistry: The journal covers all aspects of medicinal, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, including structural activity relationship, synthesis of medicinal compounds, synthesis of lead molecules, drug designing, the physical property of matters, etc.

Pharmacognosy: The journal covers all aspects of pharmacognosy, natural products, the chemistry of natural products, pharmacology of natural products or extracts obtained from plant, animal, or marine sources.

Molecular Biology: The journal accepts all the areas of molecular biology, including genomics: genetic basis of diseases, molecular mechanisms; epigenomics: epigenetics of diseases, DNA methylation, histone modifications, non-coding RNAs, micro RNAs, etc.; proteomics: bioanalysis, quantification of biomolecules by LC-MS/MS, HPLC, UPLC, Maldi TOF, etc.

Cell Biology: The journal covers the cellular model of diseases, primary cell culture studies, cell line-based studies, 3D culture studies, co-culture studies, stem cell studies, cellular morphogenesis, cell-cycle studies, cellular behavior, cellular dynamics, cellular signaling, cellular metabolism, etc.

Structural Biology: The journal includes the structural analysis of extracts, drugs, macromolecules, and peptides. It covers structural analysis by XRD, PXRD, DSC, ITC, Far UV-CD, Maldi TOF, HNMR, CNMR, HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS/MS, etc.

Biotechnology: The journal covers all areas of biotechnology, including genetic engineering, genetic mutation studies, gene cloning, gene transfection, transduction, expression studies, molecular studies, fermentation studies, electrophoresis, botting, etc.

Animal Biology: The journal covers the animal model of diseases, animal behavior, veterinary diseases, animal breeding, animal metabolism, etc.

Bioinformatics: The journal includes molecular docking studies, in-silico network studies, in-silico molecular biology studies, in-silico disease modeling, etc. 

Biophysics: The journal encompasses all the dimensions of biophysics, including biomechanics and tissue rheology; structure and dynamics of macromolecules, cells, and tissues; population dynamics and cell differentiation modeling; thermodynamics; nonlinear phenomena; biological motility; etc.

Funding source

Currently, Biological Sciences is fully funded by publisher IR Research Publication. As Biological Sciences is open access journal, in the future, we are expecting to generate revenue by charging publication fees to the Authors in the complementary to giving open access articles.
