Kusum Group of Companies delivered humanitarian aid in the form of essential medicines to Ukraine

Kusum Group of Companies delivered humanitarian aid in the form of essential medicines to Ukraine, something that the people are in dire need of right now.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) and National Health System of Ukraine (NHSU) continue to operate, but humanitarian access across borders is still being negotiated. Health facilities are focused on treating trauma patients; already strained by the COVID-19 pandemic, they suffer from lack of maintenance and aging medical equipment, shortages of medicines and medical supplies, understaffing, and disruptions to management due to recent health reforms and decentralization.
As countries from all around the world have come to aid Ukraine in whatever way they can during this tough moment, Kusum Group of Companies also stepped up to assist and sent medical aid to Ukraine on 12th March 2022 with the help of Indian Air Force and Ministry of External Affairs.
Kusum Group of Companies is a pharmaceutical group having four manufacturing units; three in India and one at Sumy Ukraine and has a presence in over 28 countries, including India, Ukraine.
“Our employees and teams have worked relentlessly to ensure that these medicines reach the people who need them at the earliest and We will continue to invest our efforts to help those in need, We are also providing essential medicines and food/shelter to people in Ukraine who are affected by the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia through our local support in Ukraine” they said.
Kusum Group of Companies expressed gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the Indian Air Force, and the Ukrainian Embassy in India for their co-operation and support.
The current estimated number of people impacted in Ukraine is 18 million, of which 6.7 million are internally displaced. Nearly 3 million people have fled the country. Supply chains have been severely disrupted. Many distributors are not operational, some stockpiles are inaccessible due to military operations, medicine supplies are running low, and hospitals are struggling to provide care to the sick and wounded.
